ABOUT THE LEADER

Paul Liu, now known as Moy Bo, has dedicated himself to the Moy Yat Sang Ving Tsun Kung Fu family since 2004, achieving recognition as a Qualified Master in 2017, and continues to teach and preserve the art's traditions in Southern California.

Paul Liu began his martial arts journey early, starting with Judo and later WuShu in China.

However, in was in 2004 that he eventually found the Moy Yat Sang Ving Tsun Kung Fu family.

Since then, he has been wholeheartedly dedicated to learning and spending time with his mentor and SiFu, Grandmaster Leo Imamura.

This dedication was further confirmed in 2007, with a ceremony witnessed by many, where his official Kung Fu name Moy Bo was given. 

This dedication reflects the profound bond that Grandmaster Leo Imamura shared with his own mentor, the esteemed Patriarch Moy Yat, who inherited the art directly from legendary Ip Man.

This lineage has enriched generations of Ving Tsun Kung Fu practitioners, positively impacting countless lives along the way. 

In 2017, Moy Bo achieved recognition as a Qualified Master from the International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation.

The traditional approach to Ving Tsun Kung Fu emphasizes the deep-rooted relationship between the Sifu (mentor/master) and the todai (student/disciple).

By meticulously preserving these traditions, the art system is passed down from one generation to the next, ensuring its integrity and continuity, as Patriarch Moy Yat emphasized, “the way I teach, I try to provide students and grand students with more Kung Fu Life (心法)” . 

Located in Southern California, the Moy Bo Kung Fu Hub serves the Greater Los Angeles area and San Diego County, offering regular in person times, supplemented with hybrid meetings for added flexibility.

Our programs are made for individuals of all ages, with a proctored environment making it accessible and enjoyable.
