ABOUT THE LEADER

Felipe Soares, known as Moy Fei Lap, is a distinguished Ving Tsun Kung Fu practitioner and leader, recognized as a Senior Class Master and serving as Vice-President of the Moy Yat Institute of São Paulo, emphasizing personal insights through Insight Kung Fu.

Felipe Soares (Moy Fei Lap) is Brazilian, born in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

He is a direct disciple of Grand Master Leo Imamura, being part of the 11th generation in the lineage of masters of the Ving Tsun Kung Fu Genealogy.

He began studying the martial art in 2000, along with his degree in Social Communication from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

He was recognized as a Qualified Class Master by Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence in 2012.

Title reaffirmed in 2015, by the International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation, in a ceremony held in the United States.

Since 2014 he has worked professionally to safeguard the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Denomination, having formally founded the Moy Fei Lap Kung Fu Family in 2016, which he leads together with his wife Elisa Wanderley.

In 2024, he received the title Senior Class Master and became a member of the Senior Masters Council of the International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation.

Also in the year 2024, he began his term as Vice-President of the Moy Yat Institute of São Paulo.

Upon joining the Safeguard Group, the name Insight Kung Fu was chosen to indicate the importance of the sudden and profound perception that arises from a highly personalized martial experience.
