ABOUT THE LEADER

Nataniel Rosa, a Brazilian-Cabo Verdean, began his Ving Tsun journey in 1992 under Grandmaster Leo Imamura. With dedication, he trained elite groups, received accolades, and was elected president of the Senior Masters’ Council in 2024.

Master senior Nataniel Rosa, he’s a Brazilian naturalized citizen originally from Cabo Verde, Africa.

His  journey began in 1992, when he joined Moy Yat Ving Tsun and was welcomed into the family of Grandmaster Leo Imamura. 
 

He became a first-generation disciple of Grandmaster Leo Imamura in 1996 and a second-generation disciple of Patriarch Moy Yat.
 

Over the years, he  devoted himself to spreading the knowledge and wisdom of Ving Tsun. In 1998, he was appointed by Grandmaster Leo Imamura to assist him to preparing future instructors. 
 

As a result, he served as the Technical Director of Moy Yat Ving Tsun in Brazil from 1998 to 2001.

His dedication to Ving Tsun has led him to work with special operations groups,such as the BOPE (Special Police Operations Battalion), the Brazilian Army's Special Forces, and the Marine Corps (Toneleiro Battalion). 
 

He was invited to provide instruction to these elite groups in 2000, with the purpose of bringing Ving Tsunto their specialized training.

In 2001, he moved to Brasília to spread Ving Tsun to the central region of Brazil andestablish his  Kung Fu family in the capital. In recognition of his contributions to the art of Ving Tsun, he  received the Junior Achievement award from the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Special Student Association in New York in 2008.
 

In 2003, he was bestowed the title of Master under the Class of Qualified Master by Grandmaster Leo Imamura in Atibaia, São Paulo. In 2014, he was promoted to the Class of Senior Master, and in 2015, with the revival of the International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation, he  was honored with the title of Senior Master in Philadelphia.
 

In December 2017, Senior Master Nataniel Rosa was entrusted with the honor of organizing the birthday  celebration event of Madam Helen Moy, the widow of Patriarch Moy Yat and the current leader of the Moy lineage.

This event took place in Brasilia and several grandmasters, masters, and practitioners from abroad were present.
 

In August 2023, Senior Master Nataniel Rosa was awarded in Toronto, Canada, by the International Wushu Kung Fu Federation for his global contribution to martial arts.
 

In 2024, during the celebration of Grandmaster Leo Imamura’s birthday, he was elected as the president of the Senior Masters’ Council of the International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation.
